On November 12 and 13, the Innovating the Public Sector: from Ideas to Impact conference, organized by the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation, took place in Paris, France. The conference's overall purpose was to engage actors from the public sector, as well researchers, civil society, and innovators from the private sector, in the sharing of innovative practices in the public administration's sectors of the country members, ranging from the health to security sectors.
With an interesting and diverse agenda Rui Patrício, CEO of CONTINUE TO GROW, participated in the "Innovation Labs", a hands-on workshop for policy making, and "Designing and Prototyping for Public Services" workshop, geared towards the development of innovative public services.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organization that promotes understanding and economic cooperation among their members. From all around the world, the majority country members are, however, of high-income level, with economies such as Sweden, which the latest Innovation Union Scoreboard 2014 placed it as the most innovative economy of the European Union.
